Hair is the least erotic part of the woman's body for guys -- Why do women obsess over it?

I'm assuming they do it for other women, but let's get this straight ladies:Guys COULD NOT CARE LESS about how your hair looks.

I hardly doubt that's true considering a lot of (superficial) guys I know complain if their girlfriends get a drastic haircut, and some I know have even broken up with girls for it.

Of course I'm lucky enough to be with a guy who doesn't mind what I do with my hair.
Having said that, my hair is for ME.

Why on earth would you assume that if a women styles her hair it has to be for a guy? LOL You silly boy..

Really? I thought I was always doing my hair for myself.

Edit: By the way, not doing our hair makes it a mess. If I didn't do a thing with mine, it would tangle, stick off my head every which way, and get terribly greasy within two or three days. And, if my hair gets greasy, the oils transfer to my forehead and face, causing massive breakouts. How do I know this? I know this because when I was in my teens, I didn't wash my hair every day (I didn't need to as a child, but the body does change once puberty hits!), and it was just the most horrible thing. Now do you still think we shouldn't 'obsess' about our hair?

my husband adores my hair...he told me just the other day if I cut it he wouldn't feel the same about me! YET, I would still be the same otherwise.....

does that mean I should go bald? come on...you must care a little! oh well, thanks for the clarification. I now know that all of the time and money I put into my hair is only a way to make me feel better, but doesn't directly affect whether or not a male is attracted to me.

Edit: Now I've read "It All Matters" answer, and apparently, it all matters.

Wrong most men I know love long hair and do'nt want you to cut it at all. Once a guy broke up with me because I let his sister cut my long hair short. So it is'nt the girls that obsess about hair the most.

I am too obsessed about my hair. Yes, men do say that they don't care about women's hair. But look at it this way; Men like women who look good. You can't really be good looking and attractive with a bad hair-do or a bad haircut or with hair that is all greased up and haven't been washed in days. Women's hair really affects their faces and how they look.

women do their hair because it makes them feel attractive, not for guys. besides, isn't it more attractive that a woman would take the time to clean herself up before going out? (instead of looking like a scumbag who could care less???)

I love beautiful long hair on a woman, and yet I am a skinhead. I also love underarm hair and pubic hair on a woman...none of this 12-year-old look for me!
Why do I shave my head? Well, half of it was gone already, and I thought bald is in fashion. I keep a goatee to makeup for it!
