what cones do I get the seeds from, the ones on the ground or do I need to get them from the top of the tree? what then? The reason so few people do this is because conifers are very very hard to grow from seed. Most of them have complicated stratification needs, which means several freeze/thaw cycles, just the right amount of moisture, etc. |
