Where is a good place to buy Rocks to surround a garden or driveway?

I live in Norfolk Va and I am new to the area. Inexpensive is a plus...or if there is just a hidden area/park or something like that I can go to and load them up in my car.

Be careful about arbitrarily "loading" your car. Not only will you find state and local laws prohibiting this, in some cases you also risk breaking federal laws, i.e. 1906 Antiquities law that also includes a benign item like rock.

there are no rocks in norfolk.. only sand.

Try Wal-mart or home depot. you can buy bags of all kinds of rocks.

hi melissa. i am a landscaper by trade with 16 yrs. experience.i do not know what your money situation is but to let you know buying these type of stones can be very very expensive. I would suggest you and your family or significant other make this a real fun project. I do this to save my customers money. All you need to do is find a local creek or stream that does not run thru a state park and go stone hunting. Take a couple of hours a week for a month and go out walk the banks and look around.obviously if you have a small drive it wont take that long. I am telling you this is a great way to do this project.

we have stone yards here in Houston and they sell any type of rock or stone by the pound it's affordable the other i got a truck full of rocks for $85.00 so look for a stone yard near you that land scrapper's use

Don't just go to some park and start putting rocks in your car. That is STEALING. Don't be so cheap. Check your phone book. You should find Sand and Rock places in there.

you could try a nursery or if you have a place that puts rocks on roads and so forth you might also try there.

Your nearest cory they are the cheapest and you get to pick your own.......
