How do i get the patches of bermuda in my front yard to spread and take over the rest of the yard? |
I have 4 really good size patches of bermuda grass in my front yard. I want to get it to spread, how do I do this? From my understanding of Bermuda grass, if you live in a warm part of the country it will take over on its own quite readily. Usually the questions on Bermuda grass are, how do I get rid of this #$@$&^ Bermuda grass. Bermuda grows really well where Iive and will just take over on its own if you keep the grass mowed well and there is plenty of full sunlight hitting the ground and a good sandy soil. Bermuda doesn't grow well in any shade or certain types of clay soils. Water and fertilizer. Be careful not to up root the runners when they start to spread. gave up didya?... LOL!... me, too.... the patch at the mailbox has spread about seven ft or so in the last year... I keep the area mowed shorter and it has done it's thing pretty good... |
