What is the difference between a friend and a best friend?

I have friends whom I meet at church. we just talk about stuff. But we are not really close.

There is a friend that I have. Can I tell him I want to be his best friend or I should just start hanging out more with him maybe he will get the clue.

By the way we are not gay.

A friend is someone you can share certain situations with. A best friend is usually one, no more than two sometimes. With your best friend you can share almost anything, your thoughts, you can have conversations about important decisions in your life. Your best friend will come with time, you don't have to do anything, not even tell him that, it is unnecessary. Time will show your friendship.

a friend is simple and almost the opposite of you but you really like the person for what he is and does but not as much as best friends

a best friend is really true and almost has the same things and abilities as you and you really like who he/she is on the inside

When your best friends with someone you do everything together. Go out every where. Tell each other secrets. Pretty much have plans to hang out around each others schedules. And no that does not make you gay at all.
Just ask him to go over to your house to hang out and then make other plans to hang out after that.

A friend will bail you out of jail. A best friend will be sitting right there with you saying: "D***! That was awesome!"

A friend is someone who you know and you talk to but u dont really just call them up because you are bored, a best friend you can call several times during the day just to see whats going on, you can just sit around the house with and talk about nothing, its not really a labled thing..you just know that person is your best friend and they know it too!! you will notice when you are with them all of the time that they are your best friend..they will be there for you through anything!

A best friend is really trustworthy and someone who would be there for you no matter what and someone you can talk about anything with. A friend isnt as exclusive. A friend you can talk to and respects you but isnt as close

u talk more to ur bestfriend u wouldnt say certain things to just ur friend

A true best friend doen't have to be label as one...they just are...this isn't something you can tell or ask for.
