What are some good ways to meet new friends?

I just desistered from a sorority because I hated the fake atmosphere. I am looking to get away from those friends and meet new ones. Any ideas???

Try joining another kind of group that isn't cliquish. Try a campus club of some sort. Figure out what you are interested in and find the group to join.

Otherwise, be open and friendly and I am sure you'll make friends with other classmates in study groups or whatever. You should be very proud of yourself. I think it takes a great deal of self esteem to quit a sorority.

join a study group, ask questions in class to get you noticed, have lunch at a cafe near school, ask people where places in the school are (maybe you could have a convo while they show you), join clubs, sports, leadership activities. randomly compliment someone if you notice their skirt is cute or they are talented in some way. go out to a well known hangout spot. just make aquaintences and things will pan out.

be nice to every one all the time avoid being sarcastic and making the inpression "ur wierd" when someone is acting weird. complrments, complements, complements! and most of the time be ur self

It depends on what you like. Do something you find fun and meet people with the same interests.

P.S: Congrats on standing out from the crowd. It's so rare to meet original people ;)
