Getting my dad to feel confortable leaving 6 teenagers home alone?

Im having a party tonight with a few friends. were all very well behaved kids all of us on the honor roll.. 2 of them are the pastors sons sadly my dad has to bring my brother to a baseball game an hour away. Its not fair to my friends if they come at nine because the guys have to leave at 10. Please dont tell me to cancel the party or take them with us. I need to get my dad to feel confortable leaving us alone for like 2 hours..

Ask him to have a neighbor check in on y'all if he's unsure. He can also call from the road every 30 mins or hour to see what's going on. If anything is unkewl when he returns then everyone goes home, and you are appropriately punished...it's not like you all could wreak a lot of havoc in 2 hrs and then hide the evidence.

Let him know it would mean a lot to you if he trusted you with the responsibility of keeping control of the group and believing that everyone involved would do nothing inappropriate in his home while he's away.

It's not going to happen. Your dad needs to look after his children, other people's children and himself. Do you know what could happen to him if one of you busted out alcohol? God forbid they drove and caused an accident. You father would have to live with that guilt and possible legal ramifications if that happened.

For tell him he can trust you won't do anything stupid. Ask your dad if he was ever left alone. If you dad parents are alive ask them as he ever stay in the house alone with teenagers. And threw that in your dad face.
I was left home alone. I an only child I threw a party and my mom is really religious. I never got caught.

His dilemma is that if he trusts you, and anything, including an accident happens, he is in huge trouble--lawsuits, insurance, etc. That's why he can't do it.

Ask him why he doesn't trust you and try to convince him why he can trust you.
