I have a very demanding friend that stops at nothing to get what she wants even hurting others. What to do?

My friend does this a lot, especially if the thing is about the guy we both like, by using her mom to be friends with his parents so she can get to him. Also when we are in gym and running laps she always has to do better than me, but I manage to out run her each time. I think it's more than just being competitive, she has serious problems with this. What should I do?
