Maybe you just need to reinvent your style a little. Try a shop that specially tailors for the plus sized woman and see how that feels. Try to think positively about what you are wearing, even if you don't think you look great others might.
Good Luck.

Where are you shopping. I am not plus sized, but my mother and my very close friend are. They shop at Layne Bryant alot. I think they have very stylish clothes. They are very flattering. Unlike alot of places that sell stuff to hide the plus size body, they accentuate it. I told my friend on several occasions, I wish I was plus sized so I could fit a couple of things she got there! Also check out Mo'Nique's line of clothing. I'm not sure on how it's priced though.

Well the answer is just look at what plus size models wear!
find the one that has body shape just like you..

I created a page just for that.It has links to model profiles that have them pose in a lot of different clothes..
that shud get you started

what about plus size clothing from Korea? try http://www.bizinnet.com

It is difficult right now for plus sized women to find decent clothes, as most things are geared to making women look like strippers or Britney Spears without her underwear.

Some of the problems - tops that don't cover the midriff (although they are somewhat longer this year) - as well as low cut pants, little tiny straps that won't hold up real boobs, skin tight skirts and pants, no sleeves to cover bad arms or wide sleeves that make you look worse. Or they have everything in huge prints and ugly colors or polyester cling.

This fall, the kind of floaty tops are the wrong cut for most plus size women as they make your midsection look fat.

There is a book called "what not to wear" that was written by two women, that shows a lot of figure flaws and what kind of clothing you can use to disguise them and make yourself look better.

I haven't bought clothes in a long time because they aren't flattering. Even if I were a couple sizes smaller, I am of an age where I don't need to look like my 19 year old daughter, and it is getting harder to get classic clothes that are suitable for business casual.

But, try Catherine's Plus, Roaman's and Chico's - they are some places that I've found that have some flattering silouhettes for plus size women on a consistent basis.

I'm a size 8/10-so upper reaches of standard sizing-and even I have some of the troubles-pants that don't fit correctly, shirts that are not long enough, etc. If you have a Torrid or a Lane Bryant nearby, check those places out. Torrid especially has some items that are more fashionable than pieces at stores for people my size. Avoid super-flowy tops whenever possible, they never look right. Also you might want to find a tailor or clothesmaker who can do plus-sized, as if you get your clothes custom-made they will be the right fit for you.

Well, there are lot of clothing styles specially designed for plus size women. Maybe you can experiment with Indian dresses like Salwar Kameez, following article might be of help

Make sure you are shopping in a store that specifically is for plus sized the make very fashionable cloth that are suited for your style. Try Catherines and Lane Byrant just to name a few

I understand where you are coming from. I'm a size 14/16 myself. I think some of the most fool-proof styles for plus size women include the wrap dress, empire-style tops and dresses, and darker wash jeans. I also like the marilyn monroe-style halter dresses. But a great thing to buy to look smoother in your clothes is a bodysuit. Lane Bryant sells them, and they work great for smoothing your curves out.

Who cares? They're both beanie hats, and you'll look dorky either way... LOL. Might I recommend a driver's hat or a stocking cap? A little more charming... 鈾?/div>
