What should I get my mom for her 4-year anniversary of surviving breast cancer?

We are a still year from her cancer being in remission (and we are planning a huge celebration then), but I'm looking for something to get/make her on her 4th anniversary to let her know how proud I am of her for making it this far on her own... Any suggestions?

A heart of gold with your initials to wear around her neck.

And a lots of hugs and kisses.

Wow, that is so awesome! Hmmm...how about an engraved piece of jewelry, like a bracelet or locket...or maybe an engraved picture frame and put a picture of the two of you in it. A day at the spa...get her a makeover, hair done, and a massage...how about a big "Congratulations Mom!" on a billboard somewhere in your town!

Name a star after her or a word that will signify that she conquered a huge obstacle. Take her to a lake, the beach, anyplace outdoors and have a nice evening with friends and family.


P.S. - Not sure who or where you call but I have family that has done it. Pretty cheap too, not too expensive.

Maybe you could get her a day at the spa - pamper her and remind her how special she is, and then take her out for dinner. :)

How about a gift certificate to a day spa so she can go get a makeover and feel great about herself. Sounds like she could use a little pampering.

well a co worker of mine is a breast cancer survivor and she's probably in her fifties, and she and he daughter are getting the pink ribbob tatooed on their ankles to commemorate it. So maybe throw that idea out there.

First of all, well done to your mother & to the rest of you too because I have had cancer & I know how draining it can be on not only the patient but the rest of the family.

As for a gift, the best thing my daughter could do for me would be to give me a huge hug & kiss & tell me how much she loves me (although she does this most days) & if you want to get her something, as others have suggested, book her a day of pampering but to make it extra special you go with her.

Time spent together is the best gift you can give your Mom. Sounds like you all have been through a terribly frightening ordeal and you know how close you've came to losing her. So, in my mind, a special memory of you two together would be the perfect gift!
