What is the best way to cook neckbones?

im from the south and my family wont tell me how they do it. for reasons. i think its messed up. can anyone tell me any good recipes or way of cooking them?

Cook them in a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes, then place the cooker under cold water and slower release the pressure, take out the meat and cook your noodles in the broth and when done add the meat, make sure you send a dish over to the family that wont tell you how and let them wonder how you got the meat so tender. Good Luck

Pressure cook them well-covered with water and add a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. That helps the cartilage dissolve into the broth so it will be richer.

Once you've cooked them for 20 min. or so, add seasonings like garlic, onion, peppers, and seasonings, and cook until vegies are done. If the bones weren't smoked, add a bit of liquid smoke to season them. Yum!

First, make sure they are SMOKED NECKBONES. Put them in a pot of boiling water, add onion , and garlic powder. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 2 hours, or until the meat is about ready to fall off the bones. THAT"S GO EATING!!!!

My great grandmother always used to say the best way to cook a neck bone was in boiling salt water. I was never too crazy for them, but a lot of ppl were.

Make a bunch of Pho. You can't really make a small batch, but its so good.

whose neck? if it belongs to a fowl and it is separate from the head, you want to cook it? without the head, i would stick the neck up the rear end of tommy the turkey, and surround it with a few good gizzards, rolled up in spicey rub. after the cavity has been searched, rinsed, then restuffed with oranges, and apples, gizzards and that pesky neck, all safe and sound in oven for at least internal temp of 160 degrees f. let it rest, and dont let anyone ever convince you that boiling necks is way it aint, there is no marrow to the bone, so soup stock needs carcass, stuffed is best boiled is woist

Add a little more oil from time to time as necessary and then fry off some onions, garlic and add mixed herbs and stook or water.
Stir well to get all the flavourful bits from the meat of the pan and pour over the pieces and cover.
Cook on low for as long as possible. (about 60 minutes per 500gm

They're great cooked in spaghetti sauce.
