What is your family speciality dish that you cook or make for Christmas and is the best?


Is there a special dish(meal) that you do for Christmas that is different to anyone makes and taste yummy, everyone requests.

Not a meal,but goes over great with your dinner.

Heavenly Seven Layered Salad

1 1/2 quarts shredded lettuce
2 cups chopped tomatoes
1 pkg. frozen peas (10 oz), thawed and drained
2 cups mushroom slices
4 oz. mild cheddar cheese, cubed
1 cup red onion rings
2 cups salad dressing (Miracle Whip)

in large serving bowl, layer lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, peas, cheese and
onions. Spread salad dressing over onions, sealing to edge of bowl. Cover. Chill
several hours or overnight. Garnish with bacon or shredded cheese if desired.
Serves 8

Green chile and cheese tamales! Only make them at Christmas. Too much work!

One of my favorites is what we call Christmas salad. It's very easy and VERY delicious.

2 bunches broccoli florets
1 cauliflower -
8 oz cherry tomatoes

cut everything into bite site pieces. mix together with Italian salad dressing. eat it immediately with your Christmas dinner!
