How many of you put eggs in spaghetti?

Growing up, my Grams, who is Sicilian, always put boiled eggs in her meatballs and spaghetti. Is that just a New Orleans/Sicilian thing, or do they do that in other parts of the world.

Putting eggs in pasta and italian-type dishes is very common to Southern Italy and Sicily. A dish that always contains it is called a Tempano and is very delicious.

A family friend (Italian- but I don't know the region) put hard boiled eggs in her eggplant parm .I asked alot of people if they ever heard of this before and everone said no.
Finally someone who has heard of this.

It's not just a New Orleans thing. And it's not just limited to spaghetti. I often make lasagna with boiled eggs as well!

yes we do that as well in the philippines. some restaurants sells spaghetti with a sliced boiled egg on top of it.

My grandma is sicilian also and she use to put hard boiled eggs in her spagetti sauce
