What do get when you cross a chimichanga and a Chihuahua?

.

I've been wondering, is a chimichanga an
authentic Mexican dish or something that
Chi-Chi's invented, similar to a a quesadilla?

.

I think you get a Chimihuahua.

When you cross them, you get a chimi-waa-waa... it's a small doggie that is light brown in color, smells like a taco, and crunches when you hug him! A chimichanga, second question, is a fried thingy in a tortilla, with a mexican meat or bean filling... good, but hard on the calories! I've never even seen one in Mexico, only in American restaurants!

You mean a chihuahua is not part of a chimichanga already?

It don't matter what you called it. I would not come to you because it had been cooked already.

You could call it a Changchi or a huahuanga?

Or just look on a taco bell menu.

A chihuachanga ?

It is an authentic Mexican item. Pretty good too!!

A tiny burrito with bite! :)

Chimichanga is a deep fried burrito.

Legend has it that it was invented by accident. A mexican cook had prepared a fajita and accidentally dropped it in a deep fryer. Supposedly, "chimchanga" sounds similar to the obscenity he yelled.

And to answer your topic question:

A. The special of the day at your local Mexi-Korean restaurant.

Chimichangas, while they may be absolutely delicious, are not authentic Mexican. Here's how they came about:

The Chimichanga, or chivichanga, is a deep-fried burrito that originated in Tucson, Arizona.
According to a legend, Monica Flin, who started the restaurant El Charro in 1922, accidentally dropped a burrito into the deep fat fryer. She immediately began to utter a Spanish curse-word, but quickly edited herself to say "Chimichanga" the Spanish equivalent of "thingamajig."

The origin of the chimichanga is subject to some debate. In addition, Macayo's restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona claims that its founder, Woody Johnson, invented the chimichanga some time in the 1950s.

Maybe you get something which can be called... Chimihuahua!
