How do you prevent cheese fondue from burning? |
I use a gel fuel burner on the lowest possible flame but the cheese still burns. Anyone have any suggestions? use a double boiler, putting a small metal pan inside a larger one n fill larger pan 2/3 with water. it will keep direct flame and/or burner off the fondue itself keep stirring is the best answer Keep Stirring!!!! You almost may need someone stirring it at all times. If you are using gel or anything you need to redice the heat. Partially cover the hole (gel can) with some tin foil. This will require some experimentation. Eat at once in 30 seconds... yummy! Keep stir. When it's almost melted, move the flames away from the center of the fondue pot. Yet keep a little heat on the pot and keep stirring. Then eat and enjoy. add wine and stir it all the time doing 8 shapes Stirring don't burn it I love fondue! Well, I believe stirring is the key to the best fondue. Also, you might want to add a little bit of butter and salt to keep from burning. It will not taste any different and it will be more healthy. |
