How long can you keep a fresh turkey breast in the refrigerator? |
I purchased a fresh turkey breast on Thursday, is it ok to cook on the following Monday morning. It has been in the refrigerator all this time. Yes it's still good as long as it has stayed in a cold temperture. But you should cook it no later than 5 days from the time you bought it. If it was frozen when you put it in your fridge you have no worry, because it took 2 days to defrost in the refrigerator. yes I would check the use by date .but i would not like to use it. poultry is touchy .but if the use by date is for today ok if not better not chance it..you don't want people getting sick Poultry.. kinda scary. I'd say 3 days to be safe. I think it is no problem. It should be ok. If it smells funny of feels slick toss it. It's not worth getting sick over. ya i keep it in there until im done with it. i didn't die here. indefinately, but you must squeeze the breast and kiss it everyday. YES IT SHOULD BE ALRIGHT no more than 4 days. Leftovers should be eaten in 3 to 4 days. In the freezer, leftovers can last up to 3 weeks. |
