How much does it cost to install a chip in your dog? |
Ok i want to take my dog to the vet cuz i wanna get like a pet tracktor.Its like a chip that you install inside ur pet to see where he is. Your local shelter and humane societies will do microchipping for cheaper than most vets. The animal hospital I work at does it for $60, but they also take care of the registration which makes it less work for you. Typical humane societies will do it for $8-10, but you have to fill out paper work and send stuff in and wait for the registration to come back.. its kind of a hassle, but its cheaper. well about 50$ and 60$ i dont know a link sorry :( Why don't you just call your vet and ask? That's who you are going to pay to put the chip in. Rates will vary from vet to vet, you don't need a website to tell you that, do you? Banfield does it for about $40. The latest studies show that is can contribute to the dog's chance of getting cancer. Do your research before having it inserted! I've never heard of a pet tractor. Do you mean a pet tracker? Or a pet tracer? I think (but I'm not sure) that you're talking about a microchip. With a microchip, if you remember to register it, the dog can always be traced back to you. My own vet charges $10 for the chip and $6 for injecting it, but other vets may charge more or less, and it costs about $12.50 to register the microchip number with the AKC (American Kennel Club) or with the people who manufacture the chip.
