How much bigger do labs get after 6 months?

My lab puppy is 6 months old today, and she weighs 52 pounds (it's not because she's fat, we can still feel all of her ribs and fits all the appearance guidelines for being the correct weight). We want to know, how much bigger should she get? Do labs grow much after 6 months, or are they about done by that time?

My lab was still growing up to 1 year...I have a big girl...she is 98 pounds! The parents are a good representation of how big your lab will be.

No they keep growing until one year. She is going to be a big lab if she weighs 52 pounds at 6 months.Check with the Vet many switch Labs to adult food at 8 months.

It depends on if your lab came from the English lines or the American lines.
The English lineage will not get as big. Labs are not supposed to be 100 lb.+ monsters. They are medium sized dogs. How tall is your girl at the shoulders? The specs on females are 21.5 to 23.5 inches tall, 55 to 70 lbs.
I have 2 females, my yellow is 19 tall and about 60 lbs.S he looks the best at about 52 lbs. I do agility with her and she doesn't need to carry any extra weight jumping. She is 10 y/o. My black is 22 tall and 66 lbs. She will be 5 in November. She is a very compact, well muscled Labbie.

Labradors are large dogs, your pup is unlikely to finish growing until she's at least a year old, maybe more. Although she will have her full height by a year, she's still going to put on more weight.

Pups go through a 'teenage stage' where they're pretty lanky from about 4 months to maybe as much as 12 months old.

How big were her parents? You can get an idea of her adult size by looking at them, although of course each puppy is an individual!

Do be sure to feed her a good quality food that is made specifically for large breed puppies. They grow very fast and have special nutritional needs.
