How much would it cost to hire a contractor to build a colonial house with 4 bedrooms.?

I already have the land, how much would it cost to completely build a new home that is modestly big.

There are way to many variables to second guess

I build in east Texas. If I built your home here, depending on the finishes you selected, it would range in price from $90 to $130 per square foot of living space. Covered areas, like porches and garage, are included but increase the square foot cost depending on their size and complexity. Driveway and other landscaping costs also come into play.

It all depends on where you are and what the quality of the contractor is. However there are also many variables that come into play but you can as little as $70 a square foot on up. With as little information you have it it is really hard to say.
