Where do the red and white wires go when replacing a baton light fitting with three terminal halogen fitting?

I have besides the red and white wire, two green earths, two black neutrals, and two red live wires live. They all went to baton fitting that had 4 terminals. The new fitting only has three. What is the best solution?

Get an electrician! Most house fires are electrical in nature, and most electrical fires are caused by people doing things without knowing how to do them correctly. You might get the light to work, but lose your house. The cost of an electrician is cheap compared to that.

I'd need to actually look at it. What is a "baton" light fitting anyway?

This first sounds odd because black is not the proper color for neutral. White (or perhaps gray) is. If I only saw black and red along with green wires, I'd think that the device was designed for 220/240V hard-wiring. A four-terminal sounds like it drew both 120 and 240 for separate purposes. Two for the 240V, one for the neutral (which would be a white wire), and one for ground. A three-terminal would either be 120V or 240V, not both.

Again, I'd need to look at it, but that's my best guess. Like the prior answer said before, if you're not sure, don't do it. An electrical fire could start and your insurance policy might not cover you even if the fire was your handi-work, or neglegence (as the insurance company may claim). Risking your house/life/family is not worth wiring in a light. There's no shame to get profesisonal advice.
