How do i get my toilet to give a more powerful flush? |
Both my upstairs toilets give really weak flushes. I have to hold the handle down until it drains or else it wont flush completely. They are the only ones in my house that do that. My downstairs toilet is a beast and will roar to life with a mere tap of the handle. How do I get my other toilets to do that too? Water pressure won`t have anything to do with it. its about water pressure. you have to do something to fix that. If your toilets were manufactured in the 80's and maybe even early 90's they're the early low water usage type and no matter what you do short of replacing them you're not going to get a good flush. It sounds to me like this might be the case and your downstairs toilet has been replaced at some point. Without replacing them getting your tank as full as possible is your only other solution. Your water pressure for the flush comes from the tank - water pressure from the main plumbing fills the tank - and you're most likely at the mercy of it's capacity. adjust the pressure ion the toilet... |
