How do I build a door for the entrance to my crawlspace?

We built our own house and the crawlspace is made of block. We need to build a door and don't know where to start. We currently have a piece of plywood in front of the opening.

You need to create a jamb in the opening first.Use pressure treated 2x4,or best would be 2x6 lumber.Butt joint all around the opening,so you end up with a inch and seven eights(approx) lip or jamb .Use concrete nails, silicone sealent, concrete screws,or any product that will attach wood to concrete.Cut your piece of plywood slightly smaller than the block opening all around. Then you need a couple of hinges, and a simple hasp to hold it shut against the jamb.

Make a wood frame out of treated 2x6, use liquid nails and concrete nails to secure it to the block. Then just make a door of plywood. paint it or cover it with whatever finish you like. Put some hinges on it and you have a door.
