How do I repair minor damage to base molding? |
The base molding in my condo has small dings and chips, including at the top where the molding meets the wall. Is there a way to repair these before painting? Caulk it. Use your finger to fill in the crack and smooth it out. Let it dry and paint if needed. use wood filler clean with bleach then repair with crack filler sand down and put some kind of finish on it the important thing is the hookup of the gas pipe, that there are no leaks, also you need an emergency shut off valve for gas. Use caulk aginst the wall and floor, and use painters putty on the chips in the face. Good luck. |
