Would it be a lot more expensive to build a house using post & beam or timber framing? |
I asked a question before about barn conversions, but it sounds like it could be more trouble than what it would be worth. Yes, post and beam or timber framing is more expensive and there are limited people who contract to build homes in that style. yes they would post and beam is much thicker and heavier wood it would be alot more exspensive to build your house that way.it is alot stronger.why don't you call a contractor and get some estamates on what you are asking this way you get the right quotes. |
