How should i install a backflow prevention device to my sprinkler system? |
In my underground sprinkler system i have the copper pipe coming out of my house. At that point i am wondering if i can use either PVC or copper to install the vacuum pressure breaker for backflow prevention. Is one material better than the other? It depends on the local code Hey Steve, I'm currently The Youngest Back Flow Certified Person in the entire state of Maryland, at being only 16 years old, so I may be young, but I know a thing or two about Back Flow Devices. I love walking people threw simple plumbing tasks to save them money, but on a job like this, I recommend calling in a master plumber, that not only is certified(ask over the phone) but also advertises that they install/maintaince them, cause chances are, they'll have a larger knowledge base to help you out better. Any other questions, e-mail me! WHY??? Why would you need backflow prevention in a sprinkler??? |
