How can I improve the pressure in my hot water system?

I have a normal boiler and an airing cupboard with copper cylinder. Header tank is in the loft approx 5 feet higher than top of cylinder.
Want to improve pressure for a shower.

The pressure on the cold side is fine and strong all over the house

i think all you can do is have a pump fitted

You probably need a shower pump, however you will need a plumber to have it fitted as it is not a job for the feint hearted,.

Maybe it isnt your boiler, it may be the setting on your shower. It also helps if nobody is running the tap downstairs as well, that can make the pressure drop alot.

If it is a normal shower, you need to raise your Header Tank, as all the pressure is Gravity (if you have hot feed).

If you only have cold water to the shower, you need a power shower unit, cost about 拢40 from B & Q.

well i am wonder ing if u want to improve both hot and cold water pressure???
they should both have the same pressure not matter the boiler
but if u have good pressure on your cold water and not your hot than you need to find out if your pipes (or boiler) maybe parcially blocked

your coil is probably clogged on your boiler

sometimes removing that little rubber ring inside the head works wonders...that rubber ring lets out only so much water at a time...when i had to change my water heater...the guy told me that

Water Pressure is determined by the Water supply coming into the house, not that boiler as you call it-

to improve the pressure you will have to fit a pump after the hot water tank
it would be advisable to get one specificaly for showers these have two inlets outlets run both cold from your water tank and the hot from your hot water cylinder

fit a power assisted shower there not dear go to your diy or plumbers store.
