What type of wood chipper would I need to get shavings? How big? |
I live on a farm where there are quite a few tree tops left overs from a logging operation that the previous owner did. What type of wood chipper would I need to make shavings? We have horses and thought it would be a great cost saving idea since shavings are so high? Is it feasiable? Hard to answer thoroughly. go to http://www.drpower.com , they are having a sale, 10 hp. chipper for 1350.00. or if you know someone who does woodworking and has a lathe try renting one. a hell of a lot cheaper tthen buying. if thery are just tree tops , i'd say get a 6 to a ten incher. depending on how big your tops are. just watch your fingers! |
