How much should I expect to pay for a plumer to fix a "hammer pipe" problem.? |
The wall is already cut and the pipes are already exposed so it wouldn't include cutting into the drywall. $100 maybe... That would be mostly labor the parts will probably be under $10 so whatever the labor rate is in your area. It would probably tak less than an hour, but the plumbers usually have a minimum. So he might charge you $100-$150. It is not very hard to do depending on your skill level. If you want to save the money, buy a book or go to barnes and noble and just read how to do it. You should then only spend maybe 25-35 on all the tools you need to fix it yourself.... A plumer? Isn't it a PLUMBER? do you know what water hammer is? are your pipes clanging and making noise when you turn on a faucet? that is water hammer. it is air traped in the pipes then replaced by the water slamming into the end of the run of pipe. an air hammer arrestor is merely like an air absorer. |
