Is there a cheap way to make a window screen or something that acts as a screen to bugs? |
I recently moved into a new apartment and did not realize that there weren't screens on any of the windows. My landlord refuses to put them in. It's summer and my room heats up pretty quickly. I'd like to start opening the window but I just hate having bugs crawl in. I have to live here for at least 5 months so I'd like to make some sort of makeshift screen without spending too much. The quickest way to get your windows open and keep the bugs out is an adjustable window screen. you will need Go to Lowes or Home Depot. Get some wood 1 inch by Go to Home Depot or some other comparable store and get one of those adjustable screens that you open to the width of your window, and then you pull the glass down on it. It is a very nice investment. You can get a 'make a screen' kit at the big box stores. It's very easy - you'll need a hacksaw and a screen-roller. You can make a screen for less than $20. You can buy the screen material at any hardware store or home improvement store.... very cheap. Buy a piece (or more) and tack it in front of the windows you want to open.... |
