What can I do with a space between my cabinets? |
I have a space 6" wide and about 24" tall. It is a space between 2 large base cabinets (which were not measured correctly) and the contractor refuses to repair. It is wide open (deep) to the wall. Do you have any suggestions of what I can do with this space? if you cant match the doors to create a "cookie sheet" cabinet. I have an area where I added shelves and found wicker baskets that fit in space and have them filled with cookie cutters, pot holders, the stuff that usually just isnt organized. I also have an area that I took of the doors and created a wine rack. with one shelf that has dowel rods to support serving platters that are difficult to store in regular shelves. Assuming this is a kitchen, put in shelves and it's a great place for storing cookie sheets, cooling racks, pan lids, etc. I think I've also seen a special skinny slide-out spice-rack that could go in there (or make your own unit). Depending on what's above, you could also store a broom or mop. This is a great chance to make lemonade out of your lemon! your could put in decorative shelves, a pan rack, or even a wine glass holder.. just try to dress it up and make the best of this situation... i mean, it's not like the contractor installed your cabinets upside down =D just put a fake door on it!!! or a real door and store your pizza pan there!!! |
