How can I grow ivy in my cubicle?

I really like the appeal of ivy covered walls. How do I turn my work space into a lush garden of ivy?

I asked my mother, the landscaper about this...
Do you want the ivy growning down the wall, or up?
DOWN: Since you are in a cubicle, try to find a plant basket that is meant to be hung over the edge. Get some healthy ivy (from someone, or a nursery) and put it's roots in the pot. Be careful to not break the ivy. (also, try not to get ivy that is already really long). take the stalks, or pieces of ivy, and drape them over the wall. As they grow, they will continue to grow down, covering your wall. (you can also latch them to the wal, to ensure that the grow ON the wall. This is explained below)
UP: take a pot of ivy, with the length of the stalks being between 1/2 to 1/4 the height of your wall. Gently lift the stalks up the wall, and hook them to the wall. Do this by tape, staples, hooks, or string. take a stem and (to it's shape) guide it up the wall and sufficiently support it with the 'holding' device. It will continue to grow upward.

The ivy, either way, should eventually latch itself to the wall. (depending how smooth the wall is). Going down is the easier way, can look nicer, and would be easier to keep out of other people's offices. If you ever want to control the ivy, cut the stem where you want at a slight angle. If you need help with any supplies, or have any farther questions, a nursery should be able to give you the information you would need.

I had a philadendron in my office, it took over a whole wall in less than a year. They love flourescent light. I also gave it my leftover coffee everyday (black).

talk to the person who invented chia pets and see what they think? Good luck
