How can i transfer an image onto a mirror? |
i need to make a make this for someone. She wants me to put a tiara on the surface, so that when you look into the mirror, it looks like you have a tiara on. i have the image saved, and need to be able to put it on the mirror. Is there transfer paper i can get? or will i have to do it by hand? There is a really cool Kit for etching that you can buy at a hobbie store for about $20... It is easy, you brush it on and wash it off. The image you have would have to be transferred on to contact paper (sticky back like what you put in kitchen drawers or on shelves) and you cut out the part you want to be etched on to the mirror. Stick that to the mirror, brush on the etching paste wait a minute and wash it off.... You can use a sharpie marker in any color. Then you can use the stained glass paints that will stick to glass and are available at the craft stores. If you want it to look like stained glass, just use the liquid leading on the sharpie lines and you can fill in the crown with colors or clear textured stainglassed paint to create whatever effects you like. Engraving shops or promotion company can laser etch or sand blast the image for you reasonably. |
