What is a good glue that can bond two plastic surfaces together well?

I have this cheap rolling hamper cart and it is starting to fall apart but I don't want to get a new one I just want to glue the tubes together so the frame will be stable again. Please help.

Thanks everyone!

I love Gorilla glue. My only complaint is that is expands a little when drying and it doesn't dry clear. It has a yellow fog to it. But it really holds well!!

I always seem to have the best of luck with a product called gorilla glue. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it doesn't dry clear so what ever it is you are trying to put together will end up with a light yellow color from the glue. Good luck to you and I hope this helps.

If it is abs type plastic, then use abs solvent cement.

If unknown type of plastic, then use Superglue or try acetone in small amounts. See what softens the plastic, and use that as a glue.

All plastics are different, some are easily repaired, some are not, a lot can only be repaired by heat or ultrasonic welding which is beyond the scope of most people.

Two part epoxy works wonders on things. There is also a plastic welder glue that works really well.

Gorilla Glue

a glue gun!!!!
they are soo fun to play with also ;)

a two part epoxy

For what you are doing, 2 part epoxy will be the strongest. If you can find a piece of wooden dowel rod that fits inside the tube, coat it with the epoxy and and insert it into the tube so that it spans the break. Apply epoxy to the outside of the tube for added strength. It would help if you rough up the outside of the tube so it gives the epoxy something to hold on to. Another option is to roll a piece of window screen oround the joint where the break is and coat itwith epoxy.

When ever you glue anything you must remember this rule:
Plastic glue (like crazy glue), to glue plastic.
Rubber glue(Gorilla glue), to glue rubber to rubber.
Wood glue (Elmer's glue), to glue wood to wood.
And, paper glue (Elmer's school glue), to glue paper to paper.
These are the best.
