What time of oil do you recommend for my unfinished Oak kitchen worktop? |
I just had an oak worktop installed in my new kitchen. The supplier of the worktop recommend Danish oil but I want to know if there is anything else you recommend? If this is a food preparation area, use a food grade product such as vegetable or mineral oil. There are several foods that have staining characteristics, such as coffee, that you might use to darken the wood. Use Mineral Oil, it's food safe!!! It's what cutting boards have been treated with for decades. I used dark old english for my old dryed out wook floors maybe that would work |
