Does anyone know what spray paint is best/safest to spray a cooker? |
I've been offered a cooker at a really good price for its age, it's an absolute bargain but its green and there is no way my wife will have it in "her" kitchen, even though she needs a new one, 'thats women for you'. So i thought if i could paint it she might want it. Any help would be appreciated. B&Q do a spray called 'appliance spray',for cookers,fridges etc.Costs about a fiver a can and one can should do it.You might have to prime it first though. Don't waste time and money on this project, whichever applied paint you use will not put up with the rigorous cleaning required by a cooker which is factory stove enamelled. Either accept the green cooker or look elsewhere. Don't forget any gas appliances must now be installed by an approved Corgi fitter. all the work painting it you might as well just buy a new one whatever color u want I think you use a paint called Stove Enamel, It's a real paint, Go to a hardware store and ask for it. Hardware stores and places like Wal-mart, Kmart and meijers carry spray paint called "appliance paint" . Not too costly, just make sure you paint outside with plenty of ventilation. heat resistant enamel.... colour to match kitchen! |
