My daughter has dozens of headband and no way to store them. Any ideas ? |
some of them are elastic and some are the hard plastic kind. I need a creative way to hold them. we don't want to store them in a drawer but rather a way to hold them on top of her dresser or shelf. I put mine in a wicker basket on top of my dresser. You could use a clothes hanger that's made of wire.. I'm not sure if your place has those kind of clothes hanger.. I've been to some places where the only kind are hard and immalleable =S.. Invert the hanger and use the hooked part to hang the bands. It's best to get a hanger that's easy to bend and manipulate so you can get it to fit on top of something without needing to use tape. you can hang them up on a cord, or create something like a ring holder, but a little bigger to put them in. decorate a cardboard roll from paper towels and hang it. I use one of those papertowel holders that stand up, either wood or plastic. You can twist the headbands in half and put them on. It should hold at least 20 or so.It was great for scrunchies too!(back in the day). get a piece of PVC pipe cut to be 2 foot and a square peice of styofoam as a base push the PVC onto styfoam and then use it like a rack Allot of good ideas so how about one more. Go and find a tree branch or small tree and remove leaves and allow to dry and either paint or shalack and glue to a square or round wood base by drilling a hole and putting glue in the hole and then a nail up through the bottom for extra support. You can then use it for necklace, bracelets, and earrings also. If you drill some quarter inch holes in a 2x2 then put quarter inch dowels in the holes that would give you plenty of room to store them. And by attaching two short 2x2 feet to your 2x2 you could have it stand where you like. Paint or stain as desired. I went to my favourite resale shop. Went to the area where they have collectibles. Bough several things that I could attach to the wall. One was a brass duck head, a stuffed animal that was cute, a cup holder rack.We hand painted the rack together. Then we attached all these items to the wall, and she has cute storage for headbands and clips. Since they are light, you do not have to worry about fastening them to the wall properly, only so that they will stay up/ Good luck! |
