What is the proper way to drill? |
Me and my friend are building a fort and we dug the 2x4s into the ground and now we are drilling the 2x4s across the top (so one side looks like this |挚挚挚| ) yes but we are having trouble drilling into the corners like at this part: 挚| If I am understanding the question you are asking ... try looking for a Jig, ( a device that is pre made with the correct angles and holes ) then you wont have to worry about messin up. They make braces for drilling into corners straight. Also you probebly are not using the correct bits. You need to be using a Wood Bit,also called a Butterfly Bit. You could also use a Auger Bit. You are also drilling to close to the top,it looks to me from your little display. It is hard for anyone to drill into a corner without a bit brace or guide of some type.Don't give up. Try going into "e-how".com.There are many project informations to read about, and I'm sure there are even some on building a Fort! Good Luck! I love Forts! Check out the Strong Tie Brackets at the Hardware Store,There are many kinds to help support your Fort.Byee put the screws in from the out side, |
