How do I make a standing drain without spending a lot of money?

The house we have doesn't have a standing drain. We need one for our washing machine any suggestions?

First of all, keep it well away from your house foundations. Then construct a soakaway. To do this dig a deep hole, start off by putting rocks in the bottom , then smaller stones on top of that and then gravel to finnish off. Lead a pipe from your washing macine to the hole and then back fill the whole lot and off you go.
