Can a tub surround be cut to fit an irregular space? |
My bathroom has a sloped ceiling over the tub. It had been tiled and the tiled collapsed. I would rather go with a surround that deal with re-tiling the area, but I am afraid that I will not be able to find a surround that fits because of the ceiling. Any ideas? All tub surrounds are cut to fit. just use a razor knife. also make sure you purchase one without soap holders in the corners. depending on how much of an angle you have to cut the soap holder might be in the way. last thing is make sure you use tub surround adhesive. regular adhesive will melt the tub surround as it dries. good luck and take your time its not hard at all. You can cut, but ask at store because all are different... many are designed to not be cut and would need trim to look OK after trimming |
