How do I make my own smoking incense bottle? |
All the websites show you hang a stick of incense with a keyring inside a tall bottle(wine) and burn it and the smoke will come out of the bottle...I tried it and it didnt work..the smoke never came out and the incense went out. I'm sure if it has to have holes in it..the websites just say magic smoking bottles..i thought the same that it wasnt going to burn without some air flow..and holes in the bttom let the cold air in and the hot smoke rise out. You could drill a hole in the bottle with a normal drill, simply by placing the bottle in a sink of water and drilling the bottle while it is submerged in the water. Cordless drills lessen the risk of accidents as well. It's because the fire needs oxygen to burn. So,one way would be to drill holes around the bottle about a quarter the way up. but you can't do it with a regular drill bit. you need a dremel and a glass grinding bit. |
