What seasoning would go with something tart or sour? |
My wife made some pasta with fresh lemon in the sauce and now it's too sour and a little tart. Is it JUST a lemon sauce for the pasta? Cuz I make one, and it's wonderful with basil - fresh is best, but a pinch of dried would add a bit of flavor, still. (just make sure it's not lemon basil, lol!). Also - some freshly grated parmesan will help balance out the tartness. You can also add a bit of butter or olive oil to mellow it a bit! Cheese, tomatoes, something a little sweet. If the sauce is tomato based, just add a little sugar to take the edge off the tartness. |
