I am looking for a butterscotch sauce for ice cream which is comparable to the sauce used at Dairy Queen?

I am looking for a butterscotch sauce for ice cream which is comparable to the sauce used at Dairy Queen it is thin and very very sweet.

I may have not been clear, I am looking for a recipe for the butterscotch sauce; also if anyone knows of a recipe comparable to Mrs. Richardson's butterscotch sauce which is no longer made - they have added caramel to it.

BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE
Yield: 1 Servings

4 tb Unsalted butter; melted
1/2 c Dark brown sugar
1/3 c Light corn syrup
1/3 c Heavy cream

SIMMER THE FIRST THREE ingredients 10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes.
Stir in the cream until smooth. Makes
1 1/4 Cups

dairy queen
Ingredients

* 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
* 1/4 cup butter or hard margarine
* 1/4 cup oil (I use canola)

Directions

1.
1
Melt all ingredients together till smooth and blended. This can be done over low heat in a saucepan, in the microwave or double boiler.
2.
2
Spoon over ice cream.
3.
3
Leftovers may be refrigerated and re-warmed as needed.

I'm not sure about being similar to Dairy Queen's sauce as I haven't been there in ages, but this is the recipe I use

Butterscotch Sauce

1-cup packed brown sugar
1-cup corn syrup
1/4-cup butter
3/4-cup whipping cream (35%)

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and butter
Stirring constantly, cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved
Increase heat to medium high and bring to a boil
Remove from heat
Being careful not to splatter, gently stir in the cream until it's smooth
Serve over ice cream warm or refrigerate and serve cold

Makes about 2 cups

No idea,, maybe smuckers?? or you could just call dairy queen and ask what they use. =D
