How do you get deodorant stains out? |
I have a few shirts that are white and they have a yellow/ brown discoloration under the arms! How do i get rid of that...I have tried Bleach and it dosn't work! Or Sweat Stains out! Put the clothes in a bucked with the hottest water that is safe for the fabric. Add some oxiclean to the bucket and let the clothes soak for a half hour or so. Then run them through a normal wash cycle with the hottest water safe for the fabric. I've heard it works from several people and I sold washers and dryers for 6 years. I've heard tons and tons of laundry tips, but this one came up a few times from wives who took pride in how clean their husbands looked. The discoloration is caused primarily by the aluminium content. In the UK I tried a specialist cleaner - No7, I think, in the StainDevils range. No luck at all. edna and you make-up Once sweat stains have gone thru the dryer, they are pretty much baked in. You can try any number of cleaners such as OxyClean, IronOut (which is really better on iron problems), a brush and Ivory soap bar, dish soap and a brush, etc. If your household water has a lot of iron in it, forget the bleach. It only makes white clothes turn yellow gray, especially the sweat stains. My husband has the same problem with his shirts..I used oxi clean and it got it out..I use hot water and let them soak in the hot water and oxiclean..The stains are out and now he can wear them again thats not from deorderant it's from sweat I have had that problem over the years and my only successful solution was to wear those white blouses under sweaters or throw them out and buy new. sorry. |
