How to get sweaters to stop shedding?

I have a sweater that just continues to shed, I cannot get it to stop shedding, every time that I wear it, it sheds all over the place. I follow the washing instructions on the label but it just continues to shed. Any ideads on how to get it to stop shedding?
Thanks!

Yarn is nothing but twisted bits of hair, which snag on one another to create the yarn strand. The tighter the twist, and the longer the hairs, the less the whole thing tends to break down and shed. Unfortunately, if you have a looser twist or shorter hairs used to create it, shedding is a perpetual problem without a good cure. Washing it only compounds the problem, since it breaks the fiber hairs and loosens the twist. You can try washing it by hand, or tying it inside a pillowcase for machine washing. Rinsing in regular conditioner, just like you use on your own hair also helps some with shedding, by cutting down on static electricity and smoothing the fibers. Otherwise, a sweater that has the tendency to shed pretty much always has that tendency and there isn't a lot you can do for it. Eventually enough fiber will shed that it will begin to break apart and holes will show up. If it's a favorite you can't bear to part with, wash it as infrequently as you can by hand only. Otherwise, I'd advise tossing it, as the shedding will tend to worsen as it ages.

Don't buy sweaters made from puppies.

I have no clue i had a sweater like this and i finally had to throw it away. good luck

not sure what kind of wool or yarn your sweater is made of but maybe you could try to spray your sweater after you wash it with a light type of hairspray (one that says flexible hold --so it doesn't make your sweater crunchy!!)
Hope this helps
