When do I add fabric softener to the wash? |
I want to use fabric softener in my laundry but I don't know when to add it! When am I supposed to? The Rinse Cycle! It does wonders! Use a Downey Ball!! Easiest to use...just fill with softener, close lid, throw in washer on top of clothes. The time for softener is in the rinse cycle... some washing machines have a "special holder" for that so you can add it when you are putting in the laundry soap... and just forget it! At the beginning of the rinse cycle When it starts rinse cycle.Wait till water level is covering clothes add softener. Fabric softener gets added to the final rinse. Most machines have a fabric softener dispenser, and will dispense it at the right time. If your machine doesn't have one then either you can sit there and watch until the final rinse or Downy sells a dispenser called the Downy Ball. You fill it and put it in the washer at the start of the wash cycle with your clothing. During the spin cycle the stopper comes unplugged and the fabric softener is released. You can use your favorite fabric softener with the Downy Ball. I like Downy's Clean Breeze scent. rinse cycle There should be a compartment for Fabric Softner in your washing machine. Just fill it before you start the wash, and it will automatically add it when the time is right. You dont have to do anything after that except take out your clothes and dry them. I hope this helps. |
