What is the proper way to wash towels to keep them as soft as possible....? |
I am a new housewife. What is the proper way to wash towels to keep them as soft as possible.... What do you add other than the detergent... or is there special detergent you use? You can use fabric softener, but you want to be careful and not use too much because if you do your towels will not absorb the water when you try to dry off. If you want really absorbant, soft towels, wash with a low suds detergent, HE (high efficiency) or baby detergent, use fabric softener in the first rinse, but rinse twice. Dry in dryer. Hanging on the line makes them hard. They get their softness in the dryer. Don't use fabric softener on towels...it coats the fibers and makes the towel less absorbant. febrezzes with downy use the WHOLE collction... your towles smell great and feel great.... when vistors come they wont resist smelling.. i even use it for my sheets and rug and curtains... keeps everything smelling fresh for like 3 days. |

I hate those things....ugh! lol....j/k....I know what your talking about. Every 6 months or so I just buy new ones from Walmart $8....or so. Or if you don't want to buy new ones: 1. ... Vinegar. I swear! I know it doesn't smell good, but it'll remove that smell from your clothes. (your clothes won't stink of vinegar) First, Run a complete wash cycle with 1 cup vi... I always spray Pam spray into my plastic bowls before I put in tomato based sauces, soups, etc. I have never had any ... ~I do a little everyday~ Like the refridgerator clean out at least twice monthly, Oven clean, things like that. I also put some music on and it keeps me moviated. I try to be fun with it, it has to... put a piece of rubber on it... then the static will be transfer to elsewhere ...The old mattresses could be a problem. Change them. An air moisturizer can help, the best humidity level in a house is around 70%, but the houses in warm climate have always less, maybe 25%, so the... |
