How can I get rid of a "mouldy" smell in my freshly washed and dried clothes?

I was in warm water and use apple smelling liquid. I have tried sun drying and also in the drier but the mouldy smell stays...any ideas on how to get rid of this smell?

Vinegar. I swear! I know it doesn't smell good, but it'll remove that smell from your clothes. (your clothes won't stink of vinegar) First, Run a complete wash cycle with 1 cup vinegar in it to clean your washing machine of soap scum, odors, and rust. Then rewash the clothes you are asking about and add 1 cup vinegar during the rinse.

use fabreeze

I love Febreze Laundry Freshener.

the smell may be coming from the drier, a missing sock? or from the washer? It happens. If it is from the clothing only Febreeze won't help you, try an unscented detergent, no dryer sheets , the perfume can be interacting with your body chemistry. If that doesn't help, listerine or a good mouthwash in the rinse cycle

Arm & Hammer Baking Soda or Fabrize, depending on how much money you've got.

you need to run a load of whites with bleach.. never keep the washer cover closed except when washing cloths. when not in use keep it open so it doesn't get that musty smell

Toss them in the wash again. Sometimes this happens to me when it sit in the washer too long while it is still wet.

use Gain washing powder.

soak them in water with a bit of baking soda

wash a load of whites and use a lot of bleach to clean washer, then when drying use a few dryer sheets for a few loads

Wash with Gain detergent and a scented fabric softener that you like; dry with a drier sheet on low but for a longer period of time. If they still smell, there's something else going on. Make sure you do small loads and don't leave them sit in the washer while wet.
