What is the best method to remove tomato sauce stain from plastic.? |
The stain in on the tub of my dishwasher and also on a few plastic bowls. Bleach does not remove the stain. I can't help you with the stain, but I can help to prevent the next one. I always spray Pam spray into my plastic bowls before I put in tomato based sauces, soups, etc. I have never had any stains. Make a paste of baking soda and water. Put it on the stain and then let it sit for quite awhile, then wash as usual. Baking soda is safe and it does a great job. Go buy new ones. It's hard to clean it off. You better off buying new ones than using chemical to clean the plastic bowls. It's not good for your health. Your health is more important than money. dawn dish soap Buy new bowls (the non-stain kind). You don't want to eat off of plastic that has been cleaned with really harsh chemicals because plastic is porous and will absorb it. Get JetDry's dishwasher cleaner - cleaned and deodorized my dishwasher fairly well. Put the bowls out in the sun for a full day. The dishwasher needs a paste of baking soda applied to the stain. |
