How do I get rid of mould off a shirt? |
My son put a wet shirt in the washing basket and now it has mould on the sleeves, which are white to make it worse. The shirt is brand new and I want to know how I can get rid of the mould that has formed on the sleeves. Try scrubbing baking soda on the spots with your detergent. Hope that helps, good luck! Thanks, for choosing my answer! Report Abuse bleach it....place in the sink with some cold water and add bleach and let sit for a few hours then wash as normal..it will be fine....if it is not a white shirt then use a color safe bleach or something like oxy clean.. A cup of bleach per five gallons of cold water in washing machine, let soak an hour, then wash. Is it a white shirt? If it is use bleach in your wash. I would think just wash it by itself in the washing machine it will be fine. get a Chlorox bleach pen and carefully go over the white mouldy bits with it, careful to avoid any coloured part on the shirt, wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric...if fabric must be washed in cold water, wash the shirt by itself with a tbsp each of detergent and borax on a short cycle... |
