How long does it take for alcohol to get out of your system?

I drank 2 beers and a small shooter of Jack Daniel's last night and had a drug and alcohol screening for a job this morning. I drank from 9:30pm or so until 11pm and went to bed and slept til 7:30am. I weigh 115 and I was drinking water before and after I drank. What are the chances that any alcohol showed up in my test this morning? Or should I be okay?

Its going to depend on the test they run. There are some tests that can detect substances that your body made to metabolize the alcohol up to 72 hours after drinking it. Other tests only look for alcohol, and won't find anything after a few hours. As I said, its going to depend on the test they use.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. From my understanding job tests only look for drugs. Alcohol isn't illegal, so most jobs shouldn't have any issues if you drink. (exceptions would be jobs that need to 100% sober such as jobs where you drive or might be on call 100% of the time.)

Should be fine, takes about 1 hour for each drink consumed to be digested completely and for you to become sober. However, depending on how many times you went to the bathroom prior to the test would tell you whether or not it appeared b/c if you didn't go at all then it will build up in your bladder but if you went more than once between the time you quit drinking and the test you should be alright

you are fine the alcohol is out of your system
